UDF Turns Into BSP MirrorBefore proposing to reject the primaries Finance Minister better return the millions of dollars spent by the American tax-payers for their implementation in Bulgaria. The present governors used them for gaining credits for EU and NATOUDF is facing its most important party decision. On Saturday Muravey Radev, the leader of the Bulgarian Democratic Forum (BDF) proposed that the election ticket be composed in the UDF head-quarters in 134, Rakovsky str. There is no doubt as to who stands behind the proposal. Thus, it is more than obvious that the proposition will be accepted. More important is the fact that this will finalize the transformation of the UDF into a mirror reflection of the former communist party.
Truly, Radev's proposition follows its own logic. On the local level a lot of scuffle took place within the democrats party as to who would lead the dance. Last week in Vratsa the confrontation culminated in fist fight between the regional chairman Roumen Petkov and Krassimir Kamenov , the UDF secretary and an MP. Taking into account the grown appetites of the regional leaders and the insatiable desire of the present parliamentarians to preserve the bondage to the people's crib, it is easy to profess the tragicomic scenes we are to witness before the elections. The reason is that in all these places the primaries were discredited by the democrats head-quarters in the first place. Because just there the elections tickets had been composed the way it was thought as the best.
However, in the big cities as Sofia and Plovdiv the primaries proved to be successful. That's why as early as in summer the mayor of Plovdiv and former UDF regional leader Dr. Ivan Chomakov declared that the primaries proved their acceptability in the region. Evgeni Bakardjiev, the leader of Sofia UDF faction, stands also for the primaries. To him, this is the only way to promote the candidates who are supported by the local structures.
So, before going out with such declarations the minister Muravey Radev is better to return the millions of dollars spent by the America tax-payers for the implementation of the primaries in our country. The primary vote was an important signal that the totalitarianism is irrevocably gone in Bulgaria.
It is obvious that the battle between the right and left wings in the UDF is near the end. Kostov will realize his dream of a new mandate. 134, Rakovski will move over to 20, Pozitano (BSP head-quarters). And the Party House will be illuminated by a red star. Then Bakardjiev will be punished again to reconstruct the mausoleum. It is evident for whom.
