Bulgarian Pupil Won the Linguistics Olympiad
Bulgaria won the team and individual award at the Third International Olympiad in Theoretical, Mathematical and Applied Linguistics for secondary school students, which was organized by the Faculty of Arts of the Leiden University in the Netherlands. Secondary student Ivan Dobrev from Rousse town on the Danube, who won the gold medal last year, won the Olympiad with an amazing score - 95 out of 100 pts. He also won the special prize for best solved problem. Tsvetomila Mihaylova from Vratsa, northwestern Bulgaria, and Ivaylo Grozdev from the coastal city of Varna shared the 3rd place. Thirteen teams from nine countries took part in the event.
