The drought in Bulgaria transformed the bed of the Danube River into a pasture-ground. Near the Bulgarian town of Vidin cows roaming the riverbed are more numerous than ships. Luscious vegetation covers the bottom of the river. Dairy farmers from one of the riverside neighborhoods in Vidin seized the opportunity and took their livestock to pasture.
