Soprano Anna Veleva became the new Bulgarian sensation on the world opera scene. She's been living in Manhattan for the last seven years, making a successful career on several continents. Anna has appeared at major opera houses and concert halls in the United States, Japan, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland. Recently, her beautiful voice echoed and captured the audience in Isaak Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall, New York. Anna made her debut in Carnegie Hall, performing in a commemoration concert called "Partners of Hope", for the rescuing of 50,000 Bulgarian Jews from The Holocaust during World War II. Westfield Symphony Orchestra accompanied her performance conducted by David Wroe. The prestigious hall has 2,800 seats, reserved for performances of some of the greatest living opera titans such as Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domindo.
