text sizeThe Consecrated Crosses Are Kept in a Security Vault
The readers of the Standart will receive the small wooden crosses with their favorite newspaper on Tuesday
The wooden crosses from the Holy Land that the readers of the Standart will receive with their favorite newspaper on Tuesday will be kept in a security vault. After being consecrated in Jerusalem on Friday, the crosses were packed into containers and transported to Tel Aviv under tight security measures. Today, the crosses will be transported to Sofia onboard a Bulgaria Air airplane. As soon as they land in Sofia, the wooden crosses will be placed in a special security vault and will be kept there until they are attached to the copies of the Standart. The readers of the newspaper will have them on Tuesday.
All 70,000 crosses were consecrated in the Church of the Angel, the oldest Christian temple in Jerusalem, built in 335.
