Bad credits in Bulgaria demonstrated a steady increase as their end-August share reached 7.4 percent of all bank loans. For comparison, in August last year the percentage figure was 2.8. According to the data of the Bulgarian National Bank, the bad credits make up 2.75 billion levs (1 euro = 1.95 levs). Only a month earlier, the share of bad and rescheduled credits was 6.6 percent and the fourth rise in four months. The fifth rise - in August - added another 263 million levs to the big picture.
The share of bank loans in Bulgaria swelled by 5.4 percent to 48.9 billion levs in just a year. Good credits in August were 0.7 percent - or 248 million levs - less than in July. Nonetheless, bank loaning scored an annual growth of 0.05 percent to 34.5 billion levs.
