“Bulgaria’s PM Boyko Borissov, along with many other European statesmen, will attend a ceremony at the Brandenburg Gate,” announced sources from the press center of the government. The event is part of the celebrations on the occasion of the 20th anniversary since the fall of the Berlin Wall. The celebrations on the occasion of the wall’s demolition, an event, that shook the world 20 years ago and paved the new path of development of the Old Continent, comprise a series of initiatives.
Prime Minister Borissov, along with the rest of the guests, Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Horst Koehler, will pass via the Brandenburg Gate thus symbolically marking the obliteration of the differences between the Western and the former Eastern Bloc.
“Boyko Borissov left for Berlin today at the invitation of Germany’s President Horst Koehler,” announced the press center of the cabinet.
On Tuesday, Borissov will visit Brussels where he will be awarded the European Tax Payer Prize for 2009.
