Boyko Borissov: Macedonians, let's not hate each other

"Let's say "no" to hatred, let's not tolerate groups, that create problems, let's not search for conflicts, let the state media stick to bon ton," these were some of the requests of Bulgaria's PM Boyko Borissov, addressed to his Macedonian counterpart Nikola Gruevski, who was on a short visit to Sofia.
"We want to achieve full EU membership and are open to search and find solution to the problems," the guest said.
Gruevski was explicit that history should be left to the historians and the governments should concentrate on the present of their peoples.
"Bulgaria backs the lifting of the visa regime for Macedonians, traveling to the EU," said Borissov.
He said that when the people gave up speaking the language of hatred, "the two fraternity peoples could even celebrate the common holidays together."
"The official declaration, signed in 1999 by Bulgaria and Macedonia, should transform into treaty. It will be then that the government will have a strong stimulus to support Macedonia in its efforts to join the EU," diplomats explained.
