Bulgaria will receive an extra 300 million euro from the EU in compensations for the decommissioned power units of NPP Kozloduy. The decision was taken during a sitting of the European Parliament and the Council of Europe late on Wednesday, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reported. The sum will be received by the Kozloduy international fund in annual allotments of 75 million euro for the period 2010-2013. The first tranche has already been provided in next year’s budget of the EU. In 2010, the European Audit Office will carry out an inspection of the absorption of the additional compensations and will decide whether the next three tranches should be paid.
