Serbian Barrack 'Draws Bead' on Bulgaria

Modern Military Base at about 90 km from Sofia shelters 1,000 soldiers

Yesterday, in Bujanovac, near the border between Serbia and Kosovo, at 90 kilometers from Bulgaria and at 30 kilometers from Macedonia, the biggest and most modern military base in the region was opened, TANJUG informed. "All Serbian citizens, who hope for peace and stability in the region and good relations between the nations, should be happy with the opening of the base. The ones, who don't wish for peace and those, who are involved in crime business, won't be happy," stated Serbia's president Boris Tadic, quoted by Serbian newspaper "Blitz".
A few months ago during the visit of Russian president Dmitriy Medvedev in Serbia it emerged that in Nis, some 150 kilometers from Bulgaria, a Russian base for immediate response to disasters in the region will be built.
