Incredible as it may seem, the ordinary Bulgarian is among the top ranking financially literate nations in the world, shows a survey made by ING in 11 countries. The respondents are people from different social strata with different education level, residents of both cities and small villages. They had to answer 13 questions. Japan ranks first with eight correct answers on the average. Bulgaria takes the prestigious second place with 7.9 correct answers. South Koreans and the Indians are on the same level with the Bulgarians. Romanians are on 10th position with 7 correct answers. The Mexicans are on the last 11th position (6.8 correct answers) regarding financial literacy.
