Hundreds of Sofians and visitors packed the hippodrome in Bankia to enjoy the first vogue horse race on occasion of St. Theodore (Todor) Day.  Designer Mira Bachvarova, also known as Bulgarian Lady Gaga and a couple of beautiful models made a real show racing on horseback. The girls were wearing extravagant attires and looked like fairies. For the sake of the show a professional jockey took part in the race - this was Vladislav Punchev, head of the Standart’s international team, and he demonstrated professional skills of a rider but being a gentleman he gave up the first place to the ladies.
The double holiday this year - St Theodore Day and the Bulgarian National Holiday have drawn many people to the event. Traditionally St Todor Day is devoted to horses, horse-breeding and the horse races that’s why it is popularly known as the Horse Easter.
