Levski have failed once again in their attempts to with the tournament for Bulgaria's National Cup. Levski footballers did not manage to make the dream of their bosses for a Cup and a Title come true. The dramatic match Lokomotiv Plovdiv-Levski 2-1 ended with extra times, 3 red cards and three shots against the posts and cross-bars. Lokomotiv Plovdiv preserved their chances for playing in the Europa. Levski opened the score 1-0 with a goal of Toni Calvo in the 21st minute and saw themselves playing at the 1/2-final of the tournament when Lokomotiv equalized the score in the 2nd minute of the added time. Levski made a mistake in the first minutes of the extra time and Lazarov from Lokomotiv Plovdiv scored for 2-1.
"Lokomotiv Plovdiv deserved the win vs Levski. Levski did not play well. In the previous matches Levski players may miss to demonstrate their best performance but at least won the matches. This time they missed the win. Do not expect drastic changes. Levski’s goal is the Championship Title," Levski owner, lawyer Todor Batkov stated.
