Japan is sincerely grateful to Bulgaria’s government and people for the support they gave to this country in the difficult days after the earthquake, Japan’s ambassador to Sofia Makoto Ito said in a highly emotional speech at a reception on the occasion of the first anniversary of the disaster. We were encouraged by many Bulgarians, who expressed their compassion with the deep sorrow of our country, said the diplomat.
The chair of Bulgarian parliament Tsetska Tsacheva, MPs, members of the cabinet, ambassadors and many Bulgarian friends to Japan attended the reception.
