Chairwoman of Bulgarian Parliament Tsetska Tsacheva invited Japan's giant Toshiba to participate in preparing an alternative project to Belene nuke, the press centre of Bulgarian parliament announced. Yesterday Mrs. Tsacheva had a meeting with Yoshiharu Igarashi - president of Toshiba Power Systems and vice president Yoshihiro Aburatani.
Tsetska Tsacheva informed her hosts on the decision of Bulgarian cabinet to quit Belene NPP project and its willingness the already constructed infrastructure to be included in a new energy unit. She invited the Japanese company to participate with its latest technologies in planning an alternative to Belene nuke project. Toshiba executives thanked for the proposal and assured they would consider the possibilities for realization of another energy unit at Belene construction site.
