Saudi Arabia to Invest in Bulgaria's Agriculture


"Saudi Arabia may make heavy investments in Bulgarian agriculture," it transpired after the visit of Bulgaria's minister of agriculture Miroslav Naydenov to Riyadh.
Bulgaria will be included in the large-scale initiative of Saudi Arabia's king Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz for investments in agriculture abroad. To the purpose, Saudi Arabia has provided US$800 million, part of which will be invested in Bulgaria. Saudi Arabia shows interest in the production of corn and fodder, stock-breeding and food procession, as well as the development of fish resources.
Bulgarian businessmen proposed to their Saudi Arabia colleagues to buy arable land in Bulgaria.
