Bulgaria's President Rossen Plevneliev will take part in a business tour in the USA. The trip will be led by US ambassador to Sofia James Warlick and Bulgaria's ambassador to the USA, Mrs Elena Poptodorova. This is the second successive business trip and it will be held between May 14-18.
"The purpose of the so called road show is to succeed to attract US investors to come to Bulgaria. During last year's business trip we managed to attract a good number of US investors to Bulgaria," US ambassador to Sofia James Warlick stated at the presentation of the business tour.
This year's business trip will travel to 4 cities - Austin, Los Angeles, Seattle and San Jose. The focus of the talks in Austin will fall on infrastructure and information technologies. Issues connected with the sector of energy efficiency will be discussed during the meeting of ambassador warlick and ambassador Poptodorova in Los Angeles.
In Seattle the Bulgarian and American ambassadors will join Plevneliev's delegation and together they will go to San Jose. "In both destinations the focus will be on innovations and attracting this type of business in Bulgaria," Warlick said. To his words, the time was ripe for the US companies to establish partnerships in the innovative sectors in Bulgaria. "Together with the President I am looking forward to  explaining the significance of Bulgaria as a business destination to leading US companies," Warlick said.
