One of Serbia’s luminaries in the field of construction engineering and a colleague of his have come to the earthquake-stricken Bulgarian town of Pernik to try to save from demolition some of the seriously damaged public buildings. Reportedly, the experts are ready to make ten projects for reconstruction absolutely free of charge.
The dome of the church in the town square was split in half by the 5.9 tremor that rocked Pernik on May 22nd.
Meanwhile, the finance ministry allocated some 200,000 levs, yesterday, to pay the constructors rebuilding the damaged properties in Pernik.
