Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the new majority owner of Petrol Holding, intends to make further investments in Bulgaria, Russia’s Vedomosti newspaper wrote.
FIDE President Ilyumzhinov is interested in investing in hotel keeping, transport, real properties and telecommunications in Bulgaria. By acquiring Petrol Holding for about US $100 million, Ilyumzhinov also acquired several hotels and five airplanes as assets.
The market value of the company, which owns over 360 petrol stations, a number of petrol storage facilities, hotels and land plots in Bulgaria’s biggest cities, port terminals, etc., has been estimated at about one billion U.S. dollars.
