Bulgaria's state budget registered a surplus for a second successive month and for May 2012 it is 284,4 million levs. The first 5 months of 2012 register an increase of the revenues over the expenditures in the state budget in the size of 67,4 million levs.
The state budget improves by 665 million levs or 0.8% of the GDP compared to the same period of 2011. The improvement is mainly due to the increase of collected revenues. The state expenditures also register a slight increase - 3,3% which is connected with the growth of expenditure on EU programs while the exhausted funds from the state budget shrink by 39,9 million levs or 0.04%. Bulgaria's fiscal reserve end-May 2012 is 5 million levs.
