The police searched a hotel in Varna for traces of the couple
The kamikaze who blasted the bus full of Israeli tourists at the Sarafovo airport had been accompanied by a woman in the city of Varna. The couple had been in Varna since the end of June, the Standart learnt. The two mysteriously disappeared exactly a week before the assault. The police got in their track a few hours after the blast on Wednesday.
They found their room in Varna’s Perfect Hotel on Thursday and searched it in the presence of an attesting witness.
The tapes of the security cameras in the area have been seized by the investigators.
The role of the mysterious lady in the plot is still unclear. She could have detonated the explosive with a remote control after the wired assaulter approached the bus.
Hezbollah, Israel’s primary suspect of the Sarafovo bomb has been using female kamikazes since 1980s.
