Israeli Tourists: Life overcomes death

At the peak of the summer season Sunny Beach, Bulgaria’s most fashionable and popular Black Sea resort, is bursting at the seams and the tourists have the time of their life. The beach is crammed, caf?s and bars full to capacity and the party in disco clubs seems to never end. Most of the partiers are tourists from Israel. Nothing betrays that just several days ago the local airport became a scene of a terrorist attack taking a toll of six lives. The tourist season is at full swing and everything appears to be peaceful. People from Israel hardened by years-long history of terrorist strikes have their own philosophy: “Life overcomes death.” They tour the resort freely and don’t think twice before going to a disco or a favorite restaurant and then walk to their hotels after midnight.
“Leave behind what has already happened, life goes on. Let those who planted the last bomb know that they will not be able to jail the Israelis in their own country, they will not scare us from traveling around the world and deprive them of the right to be free people. We will go on traveling and enjoy life,” said Hadi Addar (30) who came to Bulgaria with his family for the third time and is planning to come again next summer.
