Levski CEO: Fines are painful but the footballers deserve them

Levski supporters were ready to beat the footballers after the shameful loss vs FK Sarajevo from the Europa League qualifications

"Levski footballers were not happy with the fines the club's management imposed on them but the managers also felt very unhappy and disappointed after the loss vs FK Sarajevo and the elimination of the team from the Europa League," Levski CEO Ivo Tonev stated.
CEO Tonev met with over 50 Levski supporters on Tuesday. For more than two hours Ivo Tonev, coach Ilian Iliev and Nikolay Iliev had tough talks with the team's supporters.
"Levski fans are the best supporters. We discussed a lot of things which I will not unveil before you. The supporters placed several conditions and you will learn them from our future acts," Ivo Tonev stated.
The head of Levski national fan club Vladimir Vladimirov was not content with the meeting.
"We were promised a lot of things before, now we hear more promises. I can tell you that I am some kind of a rescuer of the footballers as I beg the supporters every day not to undertake violent acts against the players. Let's hope this meeting is successful and not to come again and to curse the footballers," Mr Vladimirov stated.
