Gasoline Clears 3-Levs Price Hurdle

Bus fare in Bulgaria to hike within a month

The price of gasoline in Bulgaria has leaped over the psychological barrier of three leva. So far only the best quality gasoline is sold at this price. As of yesterday Ecto Sport 98 filling stations sell it at 3.03 leva compared to 2.99 leva several days ago. The new record was set after the fifth in a row price hike registered within a month. From Monday on diesel and gasoline prices have been raised by another 0.04 leva. The most popular gasoline type - A95, has reached the retail price of 2.77 leva, while diesel is about to beat the record it scored on March 21 when it sold at 2.73 leva. Higher gasoline prices will send up bus fare, haulage charges and the prices of all other commodities. We will hold on till September 15 but after that bus fare will go up in all probability, head of the Biomet freight agency told The Standart. Most of the taxi companies are also prepared to raise prices by 0.20 leva/km.
