Bulgaria's Budget Deficit Shrinks by 55 M Levs
Bulgaria's budget deficit for Q1 2012 has shrunk by 54.7 million levs year-on-year, the finance ministry said. Thus, at the end of March 2012 the gap in the budget amounts to 687.2 while the fiscal reserve is 4.5 billion levs. The revenues to the budget for the first quarter amount to 5.95 billion levs or twenty percent of the initially provided in this year's budget.This is an increase by 7.7% (426.2 million levs) year-on-year, owing mostly to the increase in the revenues from VAT by 33.4%. The revenues from collected taxes have increased by 8.2% (374.6 million levs) since a year ago.
